Duckwrth Announces New EP Chrome Bull, Shares “Ce Soir” Featuring Syd: Stream - Consequence

Plus 2020 tour dates
Back in March, Duckwrth shared a party-ready song called “Power Power.” Turns out, that was the lead single to his newly-announced EP Chrome Bull, which is due out August 26th via STEM. To keep the momentum going, he’s shared another new song today called “Ce Soir” with Syd, and he’s also unveiled a hefty list of tour dates across North America and Europe.
While Duckwrth is keeping most other details about Chrome Bull EP under wraps for now, he’s promised that “once you press play, you won’t want to sit down.” Informed by innovative artists ranging from N.E.R.D. to Thom Yorke, what we’ve heard from Chrome Bull EP so far indicates it’ll be a staple for late-summer dance parties.
“Ce Soir,” which translates to “tonight” in English, is sultry and soulful while still keeping the energy high. Layering bilingual vocals over an intoxicating house beat, the song evokes the thrill of late-night explorations through a new city: “I got a new bag of tricks I wanna try out/ We can dip, stick shift to the hideout/ Lil mama with the vibes wanna vibe out/ She like the way the diamonds still dance with the lights out,” Duckwrth raps.
The Mancy Gant-directed music video for “Ce Soir” is playfully sexy, too, as Duckwrth and Syd both pine over the same love interest underneath the stars. Watch it below.
Duckwrth’s tour kicks off in Sacramento on September 16th, wrapping up in Germany December 22nd. You can get tickets over at Ticketmaster, and keep scrolling to see his schedule.
Duckwrth made his label debut with 2020’s SuperGood, and since then, he’s also put out last year’s SG8* EP. As for Syd, she released her sophomore LP Broken Hearts Club in April.
