For the first time ever, the award show is moving networks from CMT to CBS.
The 2022 CMT Music Awards are here and country fans are at the edge of their seats to see if their favorite stars win big. As country music’s only award show that’s entirely fan-voted, the stakes are even higher and the powerhouse appearances will not disappoint.
Co-hosted by singer Kelsea Ballerini (who will be appearing from home due to a positive Covid test) and Captain America actor Anthony Mackie, there’ll be appearances from some of the genre’s biggest stars like Kane Brown, Miranda Lambert, Carly Pearce, Keith Urban, and so many more. We’ll even see some less-expected faces like actor Taylor Lautner, the Queer Eyes cast, and Joel McHale to name a few. Honestly, we don’t know how they’re fitting it all into one night.
The 2022 CMT Awards will air live from Nashville Monday, April 11 at 8 p.m. ET. This year it’s a little different, though. Rather than airing on CMT, this award show marks the inaugural broadcast on CBS.
