The second and final semifinal round on “American Song Contest” will air tonight.
“American Song Contest” airs at 8 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022, on NBC. The show is hosted by Snoop Dogg and Kelly Clarkson.
Last week in the first semifinal round, the National Jury selected Allen Stone of Washington as the winner with his song, “A Bit of Both.”
Viewers selected the other four artists from that round that will move to the Grand Final.
The Grand Final on May 9 will include 10 artists. The National Jury will select one tonight and viewers will select the last four.
The live singing competition features 56 artists representing the 50 states, five U.S. territories and the capital, Washington, D.C. competing to win the country’s vote for the best hit song, NBC said.
The show is based on “Eurovision Song Contest,” which NBC said has been “organized for 65 years by the European Broadcasting Union and watched by 200 million viewers annually …”
The National Jury includes 56 music experts.
