Two years after releasing the album of the year, Lil Baby has released his sophomore album, It’s Only Me. The project has been loading for several months now, with Lil Baby dropping several singles so far this year. The Lil Baby It’s Only Me album dropped on Friday October 14th.
It’s Only Me is the follow-up to 2020’s My Turn, which helped carry many through lock down during early parts of the pandemic. My Turn was the number one selling album of 2020, all genres, but was surprisingly not nominated for any awards at the Grammys that year. Lil Baby’s new album features 23 songs and 7 featured guests, who he has already revealed to be Future, Young Thug, Nardo Wick, Fridayy, Rylo Rodriguez, Jeremih, and Pooh Shiesty.
He has also confirmed that there will not be a deluxe version of the album, a difference from his debut and many recent albums from other artists.
The new Lil Baby single is titled “Heyy,” which follows last month’s single, “Detox.” On “Heyy” he shares, “It’s a better life I have. I come from the bottom of the bottom. They didn’t know we important. Tell them I’m their hero.”
While “Detox” did not end up on the album, you can check out the visual below:
“In A Minute,” which was released months ago seems to be lock for the album as well.
