The Texas Gentlemen bring their genre-defying brand of funk, southern rock and gospel to the Walton Arts Center on Oct. 6 for the West Street Live Series. After working as the back-up band for the likes of Kris Kristofferson, George Strait, Joe Ely, Leon Bridges and Shakey Graves, they decided to start producing music of their own. Touring in support of their second album, “Floor It,” The Texas Gentlemen are co-singers and frontmen Nik Lee (guitar) and Daniel Creamer (keys), guitarist Ryan Ake bassist Scott Edgar Lee, Jr., and drummer Paul Grass.

Tacos & Tunes
Tulsa-based R&B singer and Northwest Arkansas favorite Pura Coco will perform Oct. 5 during the Tacos & Tunes event at Northwest Arkansas Community College’s Bogle Plaza on the Bentonville campus at 1 College Drive. Known for blending her southern upbringing and Latin culture into her music, Pura Coco recently opened for dream pop band Japanese Breakfast at the Momentary. Pura Coco will perform at 11:45 a.m. ahead of a mariachi band. Rolling Taco Food Truck [previously Cacahuzintle] will serve carne asada, al pastor, fresh tortillas, homemade salsas and more. The event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 5.

Patti Steel’s new EP, “No Better,” drops across streaming services on Oct. 7. She plans to have physical copies of the CD available at her upcoming shows.
